Dating is hard. But Austinites have it a little harder, according to a new study.

Match.com's annual "Singles in America" study claims people living in Austin have a higher-than-average number of "difficult breakups" in their lifetime, with five such breakups throughout their life. The average across the United States is three breakups.

Only two cities beat Austin for highest number of bad breakups: Washington D.C. with seven and New Hampshire with eight.
