Here are the best pool parties and day clubs at Phoenix, Scottsdale hotels this summer

The first 100-degree day of 2022 is in the books, so that means two things: Daily triple-digit temps are here to stay until fall and pool party season is in full swing at hotels and clubs across Phoenix and Scottsdale.

Venues are offering DJs, live music and specialty cocktails. To elevate your experience, consider reserving a day bed or private cabana. 

If you want to cool off with friends while enjoying a refreshing beverage and listening to great music — all in a lively and fun atmosphere — check out these five pool parties and day clubs for summer 2022.

Talking Stick Resort

Deorro kicked off pool party season at Talking Stick Resort on Saturday, May. 5, 2018 in Scottsdale.

The Release After Dark pool party series at Talking Stick Resort is back with a new start time of 5 p.m. that is designed to give guests the summer vibe experience combined with a touch of nightlife. The events feature some of the biggest names in EDM.

The season launched in early May. Here’s the lineup so far:

  • May 28: Duke Dumont.
  • June 4: Morgan Page.
  • June 18: Disclosure.
  • June 25: Cheat Codes.
  • July 2: Slushii.
  • July 9: Jonas Blue + Lost Kings.
  • July 16: DVBBS.
  • July 30: Ekali.

The dress code is pool attire; guests who enter the resort building must wear shirts or swimsuit coverups and shoes or sandals.

Maya Day + Nightclub

The pool looks amazing during Maya Day and Nightclub's Nightswim with Champagne Drip on June 10, 2019.

The day club is the place to be if you're looking for a Vegas feel. Dance in the shallow pool with other partiers, enjoy a drink at one of the bars, lounge on a day bed or spring for a cabana. Here are the themed days:

  • Float Fridays at Maya Dayclub.
  • Soaked Saturdays at Maya Dayclub.
  • Maya After Dark every Friday and Saturday.
  • The Sunday and Monday Drip at Maya Dayclub.

Lustre Bar

Create the experience you desire at the rooftop Lustre bar at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix. Relax on a complimentary lounge chair on the lower deck and work on your tan or read a good book. If you came to socialize, hang out at the bar and enjoy a craft cocktail and snack. Or book a cabana and kick back with your friends. Parties run through July. Check the online calendar for day passes and cabana rentals.

Hotel Valley Ho

Soak up some Vitamin D and relax under the palms at the Valley Ho's OH Pool while enjoying a chilled cocktail, light fare and entertainment. DJs are there spinning tunes from 1:30-5:30 p.m. every weekend through October; local musicians will perform on Fridays starting May 27. Reserving a guestroom, cabana or day bed is required for pool access.

W Scottsdale Hotel

Guests enjoy a pool party at the W Scottsdale Hotel.

W Scottsdale pool parties are a great place to mix, mingle and cool off while DJs provide the soundtrack. The parties are open to the public; a cover charge is required of non-hotel guests. The WET Deck features private cabanas, VIP tables, day beds and lounge chairs; call to make cabana or day bed reservations.

Gila River Resorts & Casinos – Wild Horse Pass

The Summer Oasis Pool Party series kicks off Saturday, May 28. The Las Vegas-style pool party is hosted by Phoenix Suns player Jae Crowder on the last Saturday of every month through September and features internationally recognized DJs. The pool area features two new pools with cabanas for rent. General admission is $40 per person;  cabana rentals start at $1,400 for up to 10 people. Here's the DJ lineup:
