Want to get out of town? Here's an option for you.

FlixBus, a bus line that began offering service in multiple Texas cities including Austin earlier this year, on Wednesday announced half-price tickets for each of its stops in the state. Users must enter the code "TEXASZL" at checkout. The sale ends July 3.

“We’ve seen fantastic growth on the West Coast and look to carry that momentum into Texas,” said Pierre Gourdain, FlixBus managing director, in a statement. “Demand is rising and the number of trips offered is increasing. For us, it isn’t just about competing with other transportation services — we’ve succeeded in getting people out of their cars, disrupting a market where car is king.”

A $2 service fee per transaction does apply.

FlixBus, in partnership with Austin-based Star Shuttle & Charter, also announced more stops in Austin's downtown as well as an increase in service between San Antonio, Austin and Dallas.
