When it comes to pet-friendly airports, ever wonder which cities fly highest?

According to one new list, the Lone Star State performs among the best, with three Texas cities ranking in its top 10 of pet-friendly airports.

The list was created by the website upgradedpoints.com and is based on the following factors: the quality and quantity of pet relief areas available; pet-friendly amentities available; and on-site boarding or daycare facilities available. The top 10 includes airports, the list says, "that make travel with our pets as easy as possible — and dare we say even a little enjoyable?"

Austin, long known as a dog-loving city, comes in at No. 6 on the list in part thanks to quartly events at Austin-Bergstrom that allow you to pet therapy dogs at the airport. Dallas Love Field ranks No. 8, and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport slides in at No. 10.
