Doughnuts are back, baby.

Thanks to artisan producers, including Voodoo, Gourdough’s and Angel Donuts and Treats and the expansion of Krispy Kreme, doughnuts are more varied and interesting than ever, and in April, Austin will get its first festival dedicated to doughnuts.

Donut Fest has already taken place in 10 U.S. cities, but the first in Austin will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. April 19, at Hi Sign Brewing, 1201 Bastrop Highway, near the intersection of U.S. 183 and Texas 71.
