World's largest Starbucks set to open in Chicago
A four-story Starbucks — the coffee chain's largest location ever — is set to open later this year in Chicago.
Curbed reports that the massive Reserve Roastery coffeehouse is taking over a space formerly occupied by Crate and Barrel that spans 43,000 square feet — about 20 times larger than a usual Starbucks.
Once it debuts Nov. 15 on the Magnificent Mile, coffee lovers will find a variety of unique features including on-site roasting and an in-house bakery, according to TV station KVUE. There will, of course, be plenty of spots to sit and chill — or work remotely, if you must.
The menu will feature a number of unique coffee and tea concoctions produced via multiple brewing methods. Cocktails will be available, too.
Once the Chicago location opens, it will become the sixth Reserve Roastery in the world. In the U.S., locations are already in operation in New York City and Seattle, where Starbucks is headquartered. Overseas Reserve Roastery locations are in Milan, Shanghai and Tokyo, Business Insider says.
