Voodoo Doughnuts offering $1 doughnuts for National Doughnut Day

"Doughnuts -- is there anything they can't do?" Homer Simpson once said. 

In honor of National Doughnut Day on this Friday Voodoo Doughnuts will be selling their Homer doughnut for $1, according to a press release. The Homer is a raised yeast doughnut dipped in strawberry frosting and topped with sprinkles.

The discount will start at midnight on June 7, and will continue throughout the entire day. 

Voodoo Doughnuts is known for their unique creations such as the Bacon Maple Bar, Portland Cream and Memphis Mafia. 

Voodoo Doughnuts is located on 212 E. Sixth St. in Austin.
