Blue Bell's new Valentine's flavor combines raspberries, brownies and...almonds

With another holiday around the corner, Blue Bell is busy promoting its newest flavor: Raspberry Fudge Brownie.

I tried the Mardi Gras flavor, which came out last month and I really liked, but I haven't tried this latest flavor, which is an "almond-flavored ice cream with fudge brownie chunks, dark chocolate flakes and a raspberry sauce swirl."

I like everything about that description except the almond-flavored ice cream. My grandmother always had a heavy hand with almond extract and I've never loved marzipan, but I will withhold judgement until I get to try this latest flavor from the Brenham-based ice creamery. The flavor is available in half gallons and pints for a limited time.
