Sweet Austin team-up: Sugar Mama's Bakeshop pie inside Gemelli gelato

Pie à la mode? Cut out the middleman, courtesy of two of Austin’s dessert experts. On Tuesday, Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop announced a “sweet partnership” with Gelateria Gemelli via social media: pints of gelato with pie folded in.

The flavors include:

• Triple Berry: triple berry pie mixed with buttermilk gelato
• Apple Pie: apple pie and pecan pie mixed with apple brandy gelato
• Pumpkin Caramel: pumpkin pie and maple cream mixed with salted caramel gelato
• Kitchen Sink: coconut, pretzels, chocolate and walnuts (“all the things mama loves”) mixed with coffee gelato

The pints cost $10, and are only available at Sugar Mama's two locations (1905 S. 1st St. and 2406 Manor Road, Suite B) while supplies last.
