La Barbecue moving to East Austin

One of Austin’s best food trailers is changing addresses. La Barbecue is moving from its spot on South 1st Street to a lot behind the Uptown Sports Bar at East Sixth and Waller streets.

The barbecue-slingers, led by pit master John Lewis (formerly of Franklin Barbecue), will close shop at South 1st on December 1 and open in East Austin on December 4.

The move comes after La Barbecue’s landlord wanted to make some changes to their current lot.
