Verts Kebap opens eighth location, giving away free food on Saturday

Verts Kebap opened its eight Austin-area location today at 6301 W. Parmer Ln. near McNeil Drive. What started as a campus-area operation run by two former University of Texas MBA students has grown to include locations all over town, with an eye on expansion to Houston. The fast-casual concept specializes in traditional doner kebaps, vertical spit-roasted meat sandwiches stuffed with veggies and sauce, popular in owners Dominik Stein and Michael Heyne’s native Germany. To celebrate their grand opening, Verts Kebap will be giving one free entrée (kebap, wrap or bowl) to customers this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
