Jimmy Kimmel feasts on barbecue in Austin over weekend

Eleven-year late-night veteran (crazy, right?) Jimmy Kimmel swooped into Austin over the weekend unannounced to film some segments for his ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ program on ABC. Kimmel’s show will air live from Austin March 10-14 during South by Southwest. The show often uses pre-taped bits as part of the broadcast, so the famous epicurean took time out of his schedule to fly into Austin for a couple of days to eat a ton of barbecue with his sidekick/security ace Guillermo Rodriguez. Below are some Tweets that tracked a trip that included stops at La Barbecue, Micklethwait, J. Mueller Meat Co. and Franklin Barbecue. (We may have had a hand in the itinerary, but we can keep a secret, even after the fact.)
