Vivo closes suddenly

Matthew Odam

East Austin Tex-Mex restaurant Vivo closed its doors for good Thursday night. The restaurant’s website states they intend to re-open in a new location, but gives no details on where or when. There was an apparent dispute with landlords behind the closure, and it appears theoutside of the restaurant was recently vandalized with graffiti. We’ll update this with more details as they become available.

From Vivo’s site:

“Thanks so much for your loyalty over the years. Though it breaks our hearts to leave our home of ten years, an ongoing dispute with the property owners has forced us to relocate. We have found a new site and are making every effort to open as quickly as possible.”
