Qui launches ticketing system for tasting room

Matthew Odam

Paul Qui’s eponymous restaurant is the first Austin spot to get into the ticketed-dining game. The restaurant has launched an online ticketing system for its semi-private dining room, currently allowing diners to reserve up to four spots on Wednesday-Saturday nights for $120/person. (Prices will fluctuate, and do not include tax and tip.) The first night of reservations appears to be September 12, though the only availability is for one seat on October 4 (though that will probably be snapped up by the time this posts). Check out the site for details about cancellations, etc.

While this is the first ticketing system in Austin, the practice exists at high-end restaurants like Trois Mec in Los Angeles and Next in Chicago.
