Celebrate Hanukkah with these Austin-area events

Hanukkah begins at sundown Sunday night and continues through the following Sunday night.

While the next week’s holiday events happening around Austin are centered around a different holiday, there are a few community celebrations.

Chanukah Menorah Lighting at the Capitol. Latkes, dougnuts and gelt will be provided. 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Menorah Lights at the Trail of Lights. Come to the Lobby Stage for a lighting and gelt. 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Zilker Park Trail of

Austin's first Latkes with a Twist. Latke bar and more. $18 a person. 7-10 p.m. Thursday. Congregation Agudas Achim, 7300 Hart Lane.

Congregation Tiferet Israel, 2019 Chanukah Party. Music and a latke bar. 5 p.m. Monday. $10 adults, $5 children. Temple Beth Shalom Social Hall, 7300 Hart Lane.

Latke Dinner. Congregation Beth Israel Brotherhood presents this party with brisket, latkes and more. 5 p.m. Sunday. $20 adults, $7 children. Congregation Beth Israel, 3901 Shoal Creek Blvd.

Mazel Tov Kocktail Hour's 1st night Khanuka Party. Mazel Tov klezmer band plays. 8-10 p.m. Sunday Cosmic Coffee + Beer Garden, 121 Pickle Road.
