Kids need to play in nature. They really do. So often, though, we find them stuck inside their house on screens.

The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center this weekend is offering a workshop for adults to help you create a nature playground for your kids in your own backyard.

Create Space for Nature Play at Home is 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. It’s $45, but you’ll learn these how to use natural elements in your own backyard for play. If you don’t have a backyard, you’ll also learn how to make use of other outdoor areas.
