Lola, an organic tampon and pad manufacturer, wants you to protest the sales taxes women pay on products for their periods. Other medically necessary items such as over-the-counter medicines, bandages and sunscreen are not taxed by the state of Texas, but tampons and pads are.

On Wednesday, Lola will park a truck at 402 Congress Ave. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. as the first stop in its Tampon Tax Protest Tour.

At the truck, you can protest by claiming a refund on the sales tax you’ve spent on tampons or pads. You can bring receipts if you have them, or buy a Lola product right there to claim a receipt.
