Two Round Rock middle schools surpass goal of raising $6,500 for a well in Africa
It's Day 5 of the shower strike and the kids at Grisham and Hernandez middle schools can shower once more.
Each school set of goal of raising $3,250 for a total of $6,500 for Austin-based Well Aware. That’s the cost of getting a well that stopped working rebuilt in the village of Mbalawala, Tanzania.
The daily update at Hernandez read like this today:
Day 5 Updates ~We met (and far surpassed our goal)!!! We are at $4,169 today combined with Grisham for $11,264 ~ almost double our goal!
The schools will be restoring fresh water for 2,500 people.

Due to the generosity of students, parents, and the community, 1,126 people will now have access to CLEAN water. That's worth celebrating - to know that we had a direct effect bettering the lives of so many!!
