Federal workers can get free diapers through Austin Diaper Bank, Catholic Charities

Catholic Charities of Central Texas will be giving out free diapers and wipes to any federal employee or contractor through its partnership with the Austin Diaper Bank.

“Catholic Charities of Central Texas is committed to fighting poverty in Central Texas,” said Catholic Charities of Central Texas Executive Director Sara Ramirez in  a press release. “Our doors are open to the individuals and families of our community whenever and wherever they need us. We are proud to partner with Austin Diaper Bank in support of this effort.”

Anyone who visits Catholic Charities at 1625 Rutherford Lane and shows their government employee ID can pick up the diapers or wipes.

The Austin Diaper Bank is in need of more diapers and wipes, both for baby and adults.

“Diapers are a basic, essential need,” said Austin Diaper Bank Executive Director Holly McDaniel. “No one should have to make the tough financial choice between a clean diaper and food on the table.”
