Selena fans in Austin won’t have to travel too far to honor the “Queen of Tejano.”

The family of famed singer Selena Quintanilla-Pérez and the city of San Antonio are teaming up this year to bring fans a new way to celebrate her legacy with “The Veinticinco Años Tribute Concert” on May 9.

This year marks 25 years since the iconic Quintanilla-Pérez was killed by her fan club manager and friend Yolanda Saldivar on March 31, 1995 in Corpus Christi. Selena was 23 years old.

Quintanilla-Pérez’s family and its entertainment company Q Productions decided last year to discontinue holding the Fiesta de la Flor in Corpus Christi.

Other performers announced include Pitbull, Becky G, Ally Brooke, A.B. Quintanilla and Kumbia Kings along with other big names in Tejano and pop music.
