I'll never forget when a friend laughed at me for calling the 11 minutes of the Royal Canadian Air Force exercise my workout. I genuinely thought doing a few leg lifts and sit-ups was sufficient. Under duress, I started running in 1977, and other than taking off 11 days when I gave birth, I ran for 17 years. Then my sister introduced me to Jazzercise, and there has been no going back. Such fun! I get crabby now when I can't exercise. My husband runs too, and we eat mostly chicken and fish.
