Cap10k Countdown: Map out details
Just two weeks remain until the Statesman Cap 10K on March 25.
Get the most out of race weekend and start planning now. Are you going to run to the start line or park near the start or finish lines? When will you pick up your race packet? These details may seem small now, but they will become more significant as the race approaches.
Race weekend kicks off on Friday, March 23, at the Statesman Capitol 10,000 Health & Fitness Expo from 10 a.m.–8 p.m. at the Austin Convention Center, 500 E. Cesar Chavez St. Public parking is available in two fee-paid garages at 201 E. Second St. and 601 E. Fifth St. The parking garages have a variable parking rate fee from $3-$8 based on the duration of your stay. Meter parking and an additional fee-paid lot are available in the surrounding areas.

Don't miss March 24th's Statesman Junior ‘Dillo Kids Run Presented by St. David's Foundation on Auditorium Shores. After the fun, it's back to the Health & Fitness Expo from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Arrive early to allow time for shopping with more than 65 vendors.
Sunday morning, March 25, is the day we've all been waiting for. The 35th Anniversary Statesman Cap 10K starts at 9:00 a.m.; wheelchair start time is at 8:30 a.m. Arrive at the race start line on Congress Avenue and Barton Springs Road at least one hour ahead of time. This will help reduce any last-minute stress. Be sure to find a prime parking spot near the start or finish lines.
Coordinate meeting spots with friends and family both before and after the race. As in previous years, we will have "Meet Your Party Here" animal signs after the finish line, in the center of Auditorium Shores.
Spectators and finishers can enjoy the post-race party with their runners or walkers on Auditorium Shores. Not only can you enjoy the event as a runner or walker, but you can also volunteer for the race. Visit our website and select "Volunteer Sign-up."
Plan ahead, arrive early and enjoy the race. You did it!
