How do I stay fit? I trail run. I mountain bike. I swim in the lake. I do TRX for my abs. I do triathlons. I coach my 6-year-old daughter Ella's soccer team. I surf. I do Bikram yoga. I climb trees with my kid. I road bike. I run on the road. I play tag with my daughter. I swim laps in Barton Springs, or any water source even a hotel pool.
Why do I do all these things? It feels good to be healthy. I want to set a good example for my daughter and her friends. It balances me. I like to do physical challenges to benefit causes I believe in (like Colin's Hope) It is fun! I love my body when it is fit and lean. I want to live a long life. I love the during and post-workout endorphins! I like to eat bacon and burgers and chocolate. I feel totally edgy without it. It is a way to spend time with my friends. It is just part of me and my life.
