To celebrate ‘Krypton,’ look for the DC Comics pop-up shop during SXSW

Legendary Batman writer/artist Frank Miller and newly minted DC Comics writer (and star in his own right) Brian Michael Bendis are coming to SXSW.

In celebration of their new SyFy series “Krypton,” Warner Bros and DC Comics present the “SXSWXDC Super Hero lair” with an epic pop culture experience for the duration of SXSW (March 9–18) Located just a few blocks from the Austin Convention Center, the DC/WBTV SXSW Experience will be located at 717 Red River St.

An official SXSW Event, the DC Experience will also be open to the public from noon–10 p.m. daily for the duration of the Festival (March 9–18).

Visiting talent from both WBTV and DC Entertainment will stop by to meet fans and sign autographs. 

The cast from WBTV’s “Black Lightning” are currently schedule to attend, alongside noted DC writers and artists including DC Publisher Jim Lee (Batman: Hush), Frank Miller (The Dark Knight Returns, Batman: Year One), Brian Michael Bendis (Action Comics #1000, Man of Steel) and Dan Jurgens (The Death of Superman, Action Comics). Tickets to the signings are available now.

The DC Pop-Up Shop will feature free Jitters coffee by day, a beer tasting station by night (with beer from Family Business Beer Company) and interactive displays covering the history, art and influence of DC Heroes. Also look for three of Batman’s onscreen Batmobiles and two Bat-cycles, a Superman’s 80th Anniversary Exclusive SXSW Book & Poster featuring new art by Jim Lee. It is only available at SXSW 2018.

In addition to a selection of DC comics and collections, exclusive merch includes a selection of DCXSXSW-themed T-shirts featuring DC’s greatest Super Heroes and more.

In addition, customers of the DC Pop-Up Shop who purchase $50 or more of merchandise will receive a limited-edition poster that highlights all 1000 Action Comics covers, featuring the Man of Steel.

Also look for a Teen Titans GO! “Scream Booth” in which you can record your best screams. 

“Krypton” premieres at SXSW March 15.
