Ace Austin fiddler and singer Ruby Jane, is taking a break from her band Ruby Jane and the Reckless to search for love (“love”?) on ABC’s new spin-off of the network’s successful “Bachelor” series: “The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart.”

According to ABC, “The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart unites two of the most emotionally powerful forces in human life: music and love.”

The network says the show will follow 20 single male and female musicians as they “embark on an incredible journey to find love through music. Singing well-known songs, both individually and as couples, they will look to form attractions through the melodies, find and reveal their feelings and ultimately, fall in love.”

A fiddle prodigy who first played the Grande Ole Opry at age 10, Ruby Jane landed in Austin with her mother on a cross country road trip in 2007. She first played Austin City Limits Festival as a member of Ray Benson’s Asleep at the Wheel in 2008 when she was 13.

In recent years, she’d stepped away from her roots music background to focus on indie pop.

According to her ABC biography, “Ruby admits she is a relationship-oriented girl though, so she comes to "Listen to Your Heart" looking once again to hit the right notes with someone as talented as herself.”

"The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart“ premieres April 13 at 7 p.m. CST on ABC.
