Tuesday evening’s finale of NBC’s “The Voice” may be of special interest to Austin viewers: Homegrown guitar hero Gary Clark Jr. will make a special appearance with Austinite Ricky Duran, one of this season’s four finalists.

The two will team up on “Pearl Cadillac,” a song from Clark’s Grammy-nominated 2019 album “This Land.” Last week, Clark released a new version of the song that features singer Andra Day as a duet vocalist.

Duran, a Massachusetts native, attended the Berklee College of Music before moving to Austin. He’s one of three finalists this season with Texas ties, joining Killeen’s Rose Short and Corpus Christi-born Jake Hoot (who now lives in Tennessee). The fourth finalist is Katie Kadan of Chicago.

Clark’s next Austin appearance is a sold-out double bill with the Dixie Chicks on Feb. 6 at ACL Live as part of Proclaim Justice’s “Voices for Justice” fundraiser.
