Update, 1 p.m.: Austin City Limits Music Festival announced another new act on its lineup Tuesday: dreamy indie-pop act the Japanese House.

The British artist, aka Amber Bain, will play Sunday during the first weekend of ACL Fest.

Bain was just in Austin on May 18. She was originally scheduled to play the Parish, but promoters moved the show to the larger Scoot Inn venue.

Earlier: Here's a pretty big addition to the Austin City Limits Music Festival lineup: Brittany Howard, leader of the Grammy-winning soulful Americana band Alabama Shakes, has just been added for both weekends of the festival.

The timing meshes with today's announcement of "Jaime," Howard's first solo album, which is coming out Sept. 20.

Howard will perform both Saturdays, Oct. 5 and Oct. 12. Single-day tickets for the first Saturday are sold out, but Oct. 12 single-day tickets are still available (starting at $105), as are three-day passes for both weekends (starting at $260).

Howard last performed at the festival with Alabama Shakes in 2015.
