Music lovers— mark your calendars! On Tuesday, September 12Jane Ellen Bryant is playing the Austin360 Studio Sessions stage in a must-see rock-n-roll performance.

After graduating with a vocal performance degree from Belmont University in Nashville, TN in 2013, Jane released her Americana album Hourglass, which received rave reviews and debuted at #11 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart. Since moving back to her hometown of Austin, TX, Bryant has made a name for herself with her unique voice, distinguishable songwriting, passionate performances and a sound that’s both familiar and fresh.

Jane has shared stages with Ian McLagan and Alejandro Esconvedo, opened for Joe Ely and Bob Schneider, and even toured with Austin-based up-and-comer Max Frost while he was on the road with Fitz and the Tantrums. In addition, the late, beloved Jimmy LaFave requested that Jane and her friend Jaimee Harris record vocals on his last album—an honor that Jane regards as one of the greatest she’s even known. As a twentysomething, Jane’s music brings the raw emotion of what she calls that “big decade of your life” on her EP, Twenties. Through her timeless collection of personal songs, Jane explores the highs and lows of being in your twenties in a way that producer Chris “Frenchie” Smith says captures “the madness of youth.”

It’s been a big year for Bryant, too. She released her smash, pop single “All in My Head” in February, and played a sold-out show at C-Boy’s Heart and Soul not long after. In March, she was an official showcasing artist at SXSW, playing several shows—including the Pandora show—and won Best New Band and Best Female Vocalist at the Austin Music Awards. You won’t want to miss her set on Studio Sessions.
