Dale Watson to make late night debut

Promoting his new studio album, “El Rancho Azul,” and kicking off a U.S tour, honky-tonk Austin musician Dale Watson will perform “I Lie When I Drink” on the Late Show with David Letterman Monday, June 24.

His Lonestars, featured on the album, will join him for the performance and the tour, with stops in Boulder, Colo., San Francisco and Redding, Calif., and Portland Ore., sharing the bill with Old Crow Medicine Show

Catch Watson back in Austin at the Continental Club July 1, 8 and 22 and Aug. 12 and 19. He’ll be at the Broken Spoke July 5 and 19, and plays Willie Nelson’s Fourth of July Picnic in Fort Worth.

Later in the summer, Watson and his Lonestars continue their tour through Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina and the midwest.
