Count Sting among the celebrities heading to town for this year’s Formula 1 festivities.

The world-famous singer will perform Nov. 16 at Austin City Limits Live, the American-Statesman has learned.

The concert will officially be announced Monday.

Tickets start at $250 and are set to go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.

Circuit of the Americas and ACL Live teamed up to bring Sting to Austin, according to Beau Armstrong, CEO and Chairman of Stratus Properties, developer of the W Austin Hotel and Residences, which is home to ACL Live.

“Austin City Limits Live was built with the forethought to provide a world-class, intimate setting for iconic artists and their fans,” Armstrong said. “Sting is a perfect example of the talent we’re honored to present.”

“Sting’s rich body of work and magnetic stage presence will make for an unforgettable performance, and we think the chance to hear him sing in one of Austin’s iconic concert venues will be popular with Formula 1 fans in town for race weekend,” said Circuit President and CEO Steve Sexton.
