Update: Concert promoters are working to reschedule the concert, organizer C3 Presents said Friday afternoon. Refunds for the canceled show are available at the point of purchase, but fans hoping to attend the rescheduled show should hold onto their tickets, according to a press release.

Earlier: Thursday night’s rainstorms forced the cancellation of country star Keith Urban’s concert at the Austin360 Amphitheater.

Urban and his band had hoped to play a shortened show after the storms passed, according to posts on Twitter, but the performance was nixed after it was discovered some equipment had been damaged.

In a video posted on YouTube just before 11 p.m., a sad-faced Urban repeatedly apologized to fans and said he hoped to reschedule the concert.

“I’m fully dressed on the bus here in Austin, and they tell us we have no lights, no production … nothing because of the storm,” he said. “I’m so, so sorry everybody. I’m just … really frustrated.

“We were all ready to play. The whole band is on the bus saying, ‘Let’s go.’”

When we get word on whether the show will be rescheduled and/or if refunds are being offered, we’ll update this post.
