Austin-based rock/soul band the Greyhounds have signed a record deal with Memphis label Ardent Music, it was announced by the band’s Luther Wolf Management. Featuring guitarist/vocalist Andrew Trube and keyboardist/vocalist Anthony Farrell, the Greyhounds will release “Accumulator” in March 2014 as the first LP of a three-album deal with the re-established label, which is an offshoot of the recording studio where ZZ Top recorded most of its albums. The Greyhounds, whose members have toured with JJ Grey and Mofro in recent years, have been described as Hall & Oates fronting ZZ Top.
