In 50 words, or so: Like a jet-lagged fever dream set in the smoldering ashes of Lee Perry’s Black Ark, “Keep You” the lead single off Wild Belle’s full-length debut weaves rocksteady groove and listless longing into a catchy albeit uneasy mix, an effect only exacerbated by the video which invokes both vintage Kingston and (uncomfortably) young love.

Could share a bill with: Santigold, Major Lazer, Thievery Corporation, Budos Band

All in the family: Sister and brother Elliot and Natalie Bergman come from a musical family — their mom used to lead Joni Mitchell family sing-alongs with the duo and two other siblings. Before they became true collaborators, Natalie, the junior by 8 years, sometimes tagged along and played tambourine in her brother’s afrobeat band Nomo.
