ACL set: 3 p.m. Fri., Zilker Tent

In 50 words or so: DJ/producer/multi-instrumentalist Nova, the group’s founder and core member, spent his childhood in the Dominican Republic and his adolescence in New York City. The influences of both worlds are apparent in dreamy downtempo grooves which lace seductive vocals in English and Spanish with shimmery keyboards, percussive polyrhytms and echoes of hip-hop and dub.

Could share a bill with: Quantic, Nortec Collective, Aterciopelados, Manu Chao

Down to earth: The name Pacha Massive is a play on the term “Pachamama” which translates to Mother Earth.
