In just over 50 words: Formed in 2008, Dublin’s Little Green Cars deliver an Irish take on the Americana genre, complete with shimmering five-part harmonies and sunny folk-pop melodies. Following the path blazed by the Emerald Isle’s now-defunct Thrills, the band makes pretty, sincere music that’s perfect for a road trip up California’s Pacific Coast Highway (or an afternoon outdoors at Zilker Park).
Could share a bill with: The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Band of Horses, the Magic Numbers
Cosmic cowboys: Band members have said that their albums have been influenced by everyone from early REM to Elliott Smith to Woody Guthrie.
