With two full weekends of ACL Fest looming in the not-too-distant-hopefully-cooler future, it’s time to start digging into the lineup, so once again we start our daily band briefs. First up, internet darlings Haim.

From: Los Angeles, Ca.

In 50 words of so: A trio of twenty-something sisters with a vibe that’s equal parts bohemian Chrissie Hynde and breezey California garage pop, the group has been buzzing the internet for the past six months or so despite the fact that their debut full-length isn’t due out for another month. Expect a feel-good, fun set.

Could share a bill with: Icona Pop, Florence and the Machine, Metric, Girls

And another thing: Danielle and Este Haim cut their musical teeth in The Valli Girls, a sugary teenie bop group that saw minor success on the Nickelodeon circuit. They sang about hair, boys and girl power.
