While many in the Austin music scene tuned in to “The Voice” Tuesday night to see how local favorite Malford Milligan fared, it was an unknown singer from here who made the biggest splash. And Milligan’s blind audition is apparently still to come, as his rumored segment didn’t air. Jonny Gray, who plays such clubs as the Dogwood with his trio, did a cover of “All These Things That I’ve Done” by the Killers. Judges Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green turned their chairs and Gray, who moved to Austin in 2009 after being discharged from the Air Force in San Antonio, chose Green to be his coach.

A Milligan associate confirmed today that Milligan auditioned for “The Voice” on camera, but declined to say any more because the show’s promoters made him sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Here’s Gray’s performance.
