The two-weekend ACL Fest, which started this year, was not an experiment. That’s the way it’s going to be from now on, said C3 Presents partner Charlie Jones on Sunday afternoon. Next year’s event will also run the first two weekends of October, the 3-5 and 10-12, and for the first time, ACL will happen when UT has a home football game. “We chose the Baylor game,” Jones said, “because they’re just up the road.” The concern has been that visiting team’s fans would reserve the hotel rooms that ACL attendees need. One weekend of next year’s fest will also go up againt the Oklahoma game in Dallas, as is the case next weekend. The 2014 UT football schedule has not been released, so it’s not known which weekend will be Baylor and which will be OU.

Organizers said Zilker Park’s Great Lawn will reopen on Tuesday through Thursday, though the stage areas will be sectioned off.
