ACL Festival band Foxygen who had a difficult set at ACL Fest yesterday has cancelled an official ACL Festival aftershow appearance as part of the Burgerama Tour. The show, scheduled to take place at the Parish on Saturday, Oct. 12, also features The Growlers, The Cosmonauts, Gap Dream and Pangea, all of whom are still scheduled to play.

Foxygen was the only ACL Festival 2013 artist on the bill.

According to Fresh and Clean Media, the official ACL Fest PR firm, the band cancelled for medical reasons. They passed along the following statement:

“Foxygen will no longer be supporting Growlers on the upcoming Burgerama Tour Oct 12 at The Parish. The cancellation is directly related to injuries sustained by Sam France during a Minnesota performance in late July. Sam sustained complete fractures of the tibia and fibula. The breaks were severe enough to require surgery, involving an intramedullar nailing of the tibia and a metal rod placed in his leg. The band will still play at ACL Festival but cannot perform their late night show due to his doctor’s recommendation.”

Foxygen will be back on the Samsung Galaxy stage in the noon time slot on Sunday, Oct. 13.
