City leaders and Austin City Limits Music Festival organizers are strongly encouraging folks to take shuttle buses to Zilker Park but, for those of you who insist on driving, there are still some parking options available.

For folks willing to walk a bit — or shell out $10 per person for a pedicab — the Hyatt Regency Austin, 208 Barton Springs Road, opened a new seven-story, 794-space parking garage this week.

Closer to the park, spots were still available early this afternoon at One Texas Center, 505 Barton Springs Road. The Palmer Events Center garage, meanwhile, is full.

The going rate most places is $10 to $20.

If you’re thinking about parking in some of the neighborhoods near Zilker, don’t do it. The city has a small army of officers patrolling the area. Last weekend, they issued more than 500 citations and had more than 20 cars towed.

Bottom line: Your best bet is the free shuttle buses. Pickup is at Republic Square at Fourth and Guadalupe streets downtown.
