Update: Want to help Sour Bridges? The group is taking donations online.
Original post: Thieves hit a trailer belonging to Austin-based band Sour Bridges Sunday night, emptying it of thousands of dollars’ worth of equipment.
In a post this afternoon on Facebook, the group lists everything stolen and asks fans for help to track down their stuff. Among the items taken: several amps, a mixer, a mandolin, microphones, microphone stands and a drum set.
Members of the group say they’ve filed a police report and have been checking out area pawn shops in hopes of finding at least some of their missing gear.
Sour Bridges, a five-person group, plays browngrass music, described as a “dirtier” version of bluegrass music.
