Following earlier reports that the famed blues club currently in its fourth location would close its doors after New Year’s Eve to prepare for a move to an undisclosed location downtown we assumed that the New Year’s blowout with Doyle Bramhall would be the club’s last stand on Riverside.

Then a couple hours ago the club posted an event listing for a show by New Politics on January 15 on its Facebook page.

The show was one of a handful of gigs booked by C3 presents before the club changed ownership back in November of last year.

We checked in with Tayloe Emery, part of the club’s new ownership group, who told us that this is the only gig planned in the club’s current location at this point. Emery provided no timeline on the club’s planned move downtown or details on a potential future location.
