Lady Gaga joined Zedd for a surprise song at the iTunes Festival on Friday night, further pumping up an already exuberant crowd that came to see the electro-house DJ as well as headliner Pitbull.
Gaga didn’t sing, but she strutted onto the Moody Theater stage to huge cheers, waved to the balconies, jumped up and down, fist up and long, white-blonde dreadlocks flying. Zedd’s track boomed through the large, seated venue — though no one was actually sitting — and Gaga was illuminated by a colorful, flashing light show.
Gaga has been busy during her week in Austin, popping in on K-Pop Night Out at Elysium on Tuesday night, playing her own show Thursday, and giving her keynote talk at the Austin Convention Center this morning, among other outings. Via social media, she has posted photos of herself in clubs with SXSW fans and performers.
At her Stubb’s show, Gaga told the crowd she’d been going all out at South by Southwest.
“I haven’t showered,” she said. “I’ve been drinking a lot, eating a lot. I’ve been seeing so much music I forgot to get a manicure.”
