Tuesday music picks: SXSW Cares at Cheer Up Charlie’s with Digital Wild

SXSW Cares benefit at Cheer Up Charlie’s with Digital Wild. With a sound that seamlessly weaves elements of hip-hop, indie rock and soul into dark, pulsing electronic mixes, Digital Wild has emerged as a 2014 standout on the local scene. The band’s debut “Into,” which dropped last month, is thoroughly intriguing. On this bill the band appears with friends And the Rumors playing their debut gig. No cover is listed on the show, but the bands will be collecting money for SXSW Cares, the fund established to provide aid to the victims of the March 12 crash, so, you know, give til it hurts. 9 p.m. 900 Red River St. facebook.com/cheerupcharliesaustin. — Deborah Sengupta Stith
