Seeing as how Austin punk promoter Timmy Hefner declared last year’s outstanding Chaos in Tejas festival to be the last one, he surprised a lot of people yesterday when he posted the lineup for “A Weekend in Austin,” a fest that looked, line-up-wise, an awful lot like a scaled down version of Chaos.

For those that loved Chaos in Tejas, well, this was outstanding news indeed. The initial roster included Floor (feat. members of Torche) Destruction Unit, Parquet Courts, Radioactivity, Nothing, Protomartyr, a Deskonocidos (reunion) and more. The fest takes place from May 29 to June 1 and will be all-ages.

Tickets are already on sale for one show.
