Pocket FishRMen Fish Fry at Scoot Inn. Among the old guard of Austin garage punk bands, the Pocket FishRmen have been playing gigs since the 1980s, though this is just the sixth year for their annual Fish Fry affair. Joining them for eight hours of rock mayhem are the Beaumonts, Yuppie Pricks, Sexy Finger Champs, the Bulemics, Gay Sportscasters, Ignitor, Jesus Christ Superfly, the Surlys and the Footnotes. The admission price includes a fish-fry dinner; proceeds benefit the Bill Hicks Foundation and the Utopia Rescure Ranch. $10. 4 p.m. to midnight. 1308 E. Also: Local soul/R&B band the Greyhounds, whose debut album “Accumulator” was released last week on Ardent Records, plays a free show as part of the new KUTX Live music series from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Uncle Billy’s on Barton Springs Road. … Excellent local music blog Side One Track One presents a local rock bill headlined by Otis The Destroyer at Empire. … Canadian indie popper, Pitchfork fave and unlikely Tyler the Creator collaborator Mac DeMarco plays a sold-out show at the Mohawk. … Elgin Oil Cotton Mill hosts the first Horse Boy Music Festival from noon to 7 p.m., featuring Dale Watson, Chadwick Stokes and Erin Ivey and benefiting the foundation of the same name which does great work with autistic children.
