You may know Mickey Melchiondo primarily as Dean Ween, co-leader of ironic iconoclasts Ween, but he also has a long tenure with Guy Heller as the Moistboyz, who band more toward straight-up hard rock. After an eight-year absence, they issued “Moistboys V” last fall. The opener deserves equal billing: Influential Austin-by-way-of-Arizona trio Meat Puppets also had a new record last year, returning to fine form with “Rat Farm.” Shandon Sahm now anchors the kit behind brothers Curt and Cris Kirkwood, with Curt’s son Elmo joining them on guitar.

If you’d like to be our guest at the show email us the answer to this Moistboyz trivia question before Thursday, March 27 at 1 p.m.

What was the name of the supergroup that Meat Puppets leader Curt Kirkwood formed in 2002 with members of Nirvana and Sublime?

One winner will be selected at random from the correct responses we receive. The winner will receive a pair of guest list spots to the show at Mohawk on Friday, March 28. The winner will be notified by email by 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 27. Non-winning participants will not be notified. Austin360 does not store personal information of giveaway participants. Your email will not be used for any purpose other than winner notification.
