Pretenders frontwoman Chrissie Hynde, slated to release her debut solo album “Stockholm” on June 10, recently premiered the music video for the single “Dark Sunglasses” on Stereogum. Though the “Don’t Get Me Wrong” singer is an Ohio native, the clip is all Austin.

Hynde, still sounding “Brass In Pocket” good, doesn’t appear in the footage. Instead, the video opens on a shot of the Austin skyline overlooking Lady Bird Lake, and continues to feature sunglasses-sporting people and eclectic places throughout the city. (It appears the bulk of the footage is from the east side.)

Among the spots we caught: Jim Jim’s Water Ice, Austin Body Works and Sputnik on East Sixth Street; South Congress Cafe and Little Barrel and Brown (in the midst of having its sign painted) on Congress Avenue; the famous pink cupcake that adorns Hey Cupcake!; and Strut and Amy’s Ice Creams on Guadalupe Street.

Watch the video, directed by Steve Glashier, above. What other familiar locations did you catch? More importantly, see anyone you know? Let us know in the comments.
