Ingrid Michaelson at Stubb’s outdoors. New York singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson is in many ways the case study for the new music industry model, having bypassed the traditional record-label route from the outset a decade ago when she streamed her early work on MySpace. Her recognition has come largely through material licensed to television (“Grey’s Anatomy” used more than a dozen of her songs), films and commercials. She’s working with a label now, the progressive indie Mom + Pop, which issued her new disc “Lights Out” in February. Sugar & the Hi-Lows and Storyman open. 8 p.m. $25-$27. 801 Red River St. stubbsaustin.com. — P.B.
