Wayne Hancock injured in motorcycle crash

Former Austin musician Wayne Hancock is in a hospital near his current home in Denton after a motorcycle crash over the weeken that left him with a collapsed lung, broken ribs and a fractured elbow, his label Bloodshot Records announced yesterday in a press release.

Scheduled public and private performance events through June 8 have been postponed, the label said. There’s no word yet on the status of the honky-tonk singer’s next Austin date, which is July 12 at Red 7.
